Rocks SLBA sides rounded off cup week with some tough losses as the teams matched up against Glasgow Fever in a double header in the Anderson Cup.
First up Rocks 2 were on the road against Fever 1. The well established D1 side who boast ex pro and national league talent used their physicality and experience to race out to an early lead against our young 2nds team but the boys stuck to their game plan and had some great individual plays throughout the game.
A switch in tactics going into the last quarter saw Rocks take advantage of the tiring Fever squad and win the 4th, but it was too late to make too much of a dent on the lead from the first half. Another great learning experience for the team as they now look to push on with league prep and look forward to the draw of the Executive Cup.
Final score 82-57 Fever win.

Our 3rds travelled to Clydebank to take on Fever 2 in what was a close encounter between the two sides. A short handed Renfrew once again relied on the experience of player coach Sean Ramage to lead the line and he was supported with a solid performance from Brian McGowan on his return to the team. Fever held a narrow 2 point advantage at the half and the game never went above double digits but Rocks were unable to gain the momentum to take a solid lead.
Final score 57-48 Fever win.
